몬트리올 기록 보관소는 엑스포 67 세계박람회를 기록한 ‘Archives de la Ville de Montréal, P095-X-D002’를 소장하고 있다. 이 기록 필름에는 1960년대 60여 개 국가들이 상상한 미래 유토피아를 지상에서 실체화한 세계의 모습이 담겨 있다. 버크민스터 풀러가 설계한 미국관은 계획에 의해, 건축가 김수근이 디자인한 한국관은 우연에 의해 오늘날까지 잔존하고 있다. 〈Topos Chronos〉는 무너진 채 방치된 한국관 탑 구조물 안에서 우연히 발견된 출처 미상의 한국관 홍보곡을 수록한 필름 릴에 대한 작가의 사적 공상을 기록한 공개 아카이브이다.

This film reel captures the world as envisioned by over 60 countries in the 1960s, materializing their imagined utopias on Earth. The American pavilion, designed by Buckminster Fuller, remains by intention, while the Korean pavilion, designed by architect Kim Swoo Geun, still stands today by chance. Topos Chronos is a public archive documenting the artist’s imagination on a fictional film reel containing an unidentified promotional song for the Korean pavilion found by chance within the abandoned tower structure of the pavilion.

동시대 윤리의 개념을 영상 언어로 탐구하는 데 관심을 가지고 있다. 주요 개인전으로는 《코메디아》(shhh, 2022), 《도깨비 터》(신촌극장, 2021) 등이 있으며, 《서스펜스의 도시, 워치 앤 칠 3.0》(국립현대미술관, 2023), 《2086: 우리는 어떻게?》(베니스 비엔날레 국제건축전 한국관, 2023) 등의 기획 전시에 참여했다.
Jaekyung Jung is interested in exploring the concept of contemporary ethics through visual language. His solo exhibitions include Commedia (shhh, 2022), Dokkaebi Site (Theatre Sinchon, 2020) and etc. His works have been exhibited at Watch and Chill 3.0: Streaming Suspense (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, 2023) and 2086: Together How? at the Korean Pavilion of the 18th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition in Venice (2023), among others.
